Marian Mar is who I'm talking about! Marian is the dope a** pastry chef I worked with at CAFE at The LINE Hotel. She comes from the early days of Momofuku Milk Bar - Christina Tosi even credits her amazingness in the notes in her cookbook. She's an incredibly gifted pastry chef able to make decadent desserts but also add fun playful twists to otherwise normal pastries - I WAS LEGITIMATELY ADDICTED TO HER BROWNIES.
Marian left full-time work to have a darling daughter but eventually her desire to feed people delicious treats came back when she opened Crumpets Bakeshop with another amazing pastry chef (and beautiful cake-artist) Donna Feoranzo. Crumpets is an awesome bakery that will make you basically whatever you want. They have a large array of offerings but if you want something customized...like my dear friend who wanted a "rainbow cookie cake" for her wedding, they can make it. And it will be OUTSTANDING!
So there you are, now you have a friend who can make you just about the BEST desserts in the world. And yes, Thanksgiving is happening soon and yes they can make you desserts for that and your guests will be floored. Just give Marian & Donna a few days heads up. See more about them here!
